Hey new to the site, but not to fishing. I wanted to try a little flounder fishing this weekend. Has anyone been doing any good on them recently?
Yes. Live finger mullet on very very slow retrieve Rocks.
Mud minnows always work best for me. Fish have been small, most under 14", should be good next couple of months.
I will probably try to get some finger mullet in the morning. I saw plenty last week. Thanks for the input guys I will let y’all know how I do.
steel gig head & a q beam
Artificials worked slowly on the bottom work well.
That steel gig head and q beam deal is making it a lot harder on the minnow and artificial guys these days. I honestly try and focus on areas that don’t get gigged much if I’m trying specifically for flounder but even those places seem to have suffered in the number of keeper sized flounders available. Good luck though my favorite artificial is a chart gulp swimming mullet on a jig head.

Mud minnows on the bottom are the ticket. Got these two Friday on the incoming tide.
Also a couple Reds…
