Fly Fishing Flats For Reds

I have been getting into fly fishing lately and I was wondering if anyone knows any flats were you can wade in because my boat is too big to take into creeks in low tide. Any information would help

You can still take your boat. Use it to cruise the grassline on a high tide, when you see a flat with short, sparse grass (indicates it is probably hard bottom, tall grass means soft bottom)slow to an idle or better yet shut the engine off. Look over that flat for a 1 minute or two from the boat looking for tails. If you see any you can step off onto the flat, securing your boat with an anchor pin or regular anchor, then go get those fish. This should work for most boats under 20’. Flats off of the main rivers hold fish, you don’t need to go into tiny creeks. The flats I like the best are small ones, maybe an acre or less. The fish are either are there or they aren’t. Large flats require too much time to stalk in my opinion. Just cherry pick some small, good looking flats and you will find some that are better than others.
