Fly Fishing Guide for in shore flats

I am coming into Charleston in late March and wanted a good rec for a good fly fishing guide. I’ve googled a bunch of services but don’t want to end up with some corporate service that fishes the same spots over and over again. If any of you have used a guide in the area and recommend them please feel free to share.

Thanks,

Michael

Ben Alderman or Chris Wilson would be my recommendations for fly fishing. Both of them have been guides almost 20 years now here in the lowcountry.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

They don’t come much better than Ben Alderman. That being said, I’ve fished with Jeremy before and he’s a ton of fun and an outstanding angler.

Capt John Irwin of Fly Right Charters is one of the greats.

Call Capt. Mark Phelps. www.ShoreThangCharters.com I’ve fished with Mark a bunch. His skiff (Hells Bay) is immaculate, his tackle is top notch and the guy simply catches fish. Give him a call at (843) 475-1274, I guarantee you’ll have a great day on the water.
