Thanks to my mother in law I have a new fly fishing rod and reel. I have never thrown a fly but have always wanted to learn. Anyone know of any classes going on?
The fly shop in MP has classes and individual lessons.
Tip: Be sure to start out doing it the correct way. It is difficult to unlearn the wrong way.

Great advice from Simon. The folks at Haddrells are excellent and provide great customer service. Scotty and his folks at Lowcountry Fly Shop are great too and love to talk fly fishing with anyone. Another option is the flycasting clinics that John Irwin does at Charleston Angler. It’s hard to find a better fly instructor in the Southeast.
