fly rod

I have got a fly reel that goes on an 8 weight and all i need is a rod … any help would be great

Unless you are set on a brand I would check out the TFO Professional II rods… they are about $159, lifetime warranty. At the Fly Shop we have a Sage 8wt on sale for 40% off… discontinued model but it is still brand new and still has a lifetime warranty as well…

If you are new to fly fishing I wold suggest a mid flex rod. They are a little more forgiving when learning to cast…

That is an exceptionally open ended question. Where will you use this rod? What do you plan to catch with it? What is your budget? Do you want a single or two handed rod? What kind of action are you looking for?

Without a little direction you will get as many answers as there are rods.

If you can’t answer these questions I would suggest you go down to Lowcountry Fly Shop and have them assist in your selection.

Right now there are many amazing deals to be had as a few manufacturers are discontinuing some rods and even some reels. It is definitely a good time to be in the market. Don’t drag your feet too much because the deals are drying up.

What reel do you have and is it lined yet?
