I just moved into a new house that has a bonus room that I get to use as a man cave. I’m setting up my guitars, and x-Box, but I want to integrate a new fly tying station. Something more than the folding table and kitchen chair that I used (seldomly) before. Not looking to break the bank, but looking for a few good ideas.
So, if you would like to share, please post descriptions or pics of your fly tying areas.
Hanging as much stuff up as possible works best for me, though I have very little room for it. It definitely seems to keep the desk cleaner and allows you to easily access materials and spur some ideas
ok here’s my room. my wife got tired of all the fishing stuff, that it was all deemed to the office. a few things here. i like stuff on the walls…i hated finishing a new pattern only to find a cool feather or sumpin under a pile…so i like to see it. bucktails and large hackles are kept in the drawer systems (little plastic ones). the closet holds a dresser in which i keep reels, lines, flies and the various other stuff i dont use daily. im sorry it is so dirty in the pics…ive been busy in there lately. there is enuff room for a couch and the bulldog…snorin and fartin helps me concentrate. the room is free for the next STAFF tie-a-thon.
Scotty “D” You…are mad man! Sorry just thought about that Stripes movie Line? Thanks to my late grandpa that taught me to fish for my setup, this was his desk!
Scotty, I don’t know you, and certainly wouldn’t want to judge. But, why would you possibly have a “Dictionary” in the man room???
Field and Stream…Ok! Guns & Ammo…alright! But a Dictionary should be only kept in the library. Must have been slipped in while you weren’t looking I’m sure.
