Anyone willing to shoot me a pm with access info for the north mt pleasant area? Was going to take my young cousin out late morning and call for a turkey. I know it’s crowded and I really just want to get him out in the woods after many folks have left for the day.
Ok sorry how about go a mile past sewee outpost, look for “welcome to the Francis Marion” sign… Walk in, hunt… Sorry just amazes me how many ask questions and could have googled the answer w extremely little effort.
tell u how I find places every year, used to use a hand held gps but have a smart phone now that has the navigation program
I drive around with my phone nav program in satellite view, you will see the fields that are off of the road as you drive by them… as u zoom in a little you can make out the walk paths to get to the fields…
beats asking someone who either doesn’t know how to explain it, or you have no idea where they are talking about anyway… lol
google earth the area you wish to hunt and find fields, confirm them with a driveby a few days ahead
that way has worked well for me over the last few years, good luck!

Thanks for the advice. We pulled a few maps and took phones to track to open areas/hardwoods. Saw one hen and just spent some time scouting the area and enjoying the weather.
Hence the reason i called it the special season. There were quite a few tickets written this year to people hunting the FM before April the 1st, according to a game warden that checked me out there.

Sea Hunt Triton 177
115 Yamaha
This is also why it’s so crowded
just because u said that, I sent him explicit directions to several of my good spots in the FM
there’s no shortage of birds out there and definitely no reason to not share our experience and sport with those either new to hunting or new to the area IMHO
I’ll see his truck out there, won’t see yours… lol
Ive alway had good luck locationg the Gobblers in the swamps in the mornings with an owl call to get them to Gobble. Don’t know if you should take my advice this year though, trips X3, turkeys 0. There is a mob of people hunting turkeys this year. Wamba is my favorite turkey unit. Ion Swamp is big and turkeys seem to like the thick stuff.
