FMNF bass fishing?

So I’m scanning google maps looking for good hunting areas, and keep seeing alit if small protected waters. Are these good for bass fishing? It would be fun to drive up there with my yak or a canoe ad fish all different water all day. Anybody ever done this? What are the likelihood of these natural ponds holding bass? Thanks

They appear to be very shallow and from what I have been told its not worth checking them out. I would like to know for myself but that is a long way to drive to find out that there are no fish.

Yeah I see that. But it also seems like there is done larger water as well guillard (sp) lake and sine bigger water. And the small stretch of Santee. But then again, a yak is the perfect thing for sneajin up in skinny water! Justin, I’ve been gettin addicted to bss fishin now, let’s go sometime soon. Your about the only guy on here who really fishes good freshwater!

i’ve been to a couple of those bigger ponds and have a buddy that fishes out there too. seen some decent sized bass and carp. also seen some decent sized dinosaurs, too. if ya go out there be careful and keep your eyes peeled.

One of the ponds I fish in the Forest is AWESOME! It is by the horse trail on 41 between huger and Bethera rd. About 1 mile south of Boggy Head. I fish this place in the spring and do really good from the bank with a speed craw. Not a place where I keep fish. I release all of them. Biggest so far has been about 7 lbs. Bream are pretty thick in there as well. With a yak you should be able to use a bream buster and have a blast.
