Went out on the Folly last Thursday morning with some buddies. Set out to catch some live bait and ended up with some live menhaden and headed to some new docks. First dock, three cast in and my buddy hooked a nice red. Fished for another 30mins or so and no takers so headed out to the next one. Next dock, I ended up hooking 2 reds in under 5 cast. Had to cut out early, buddy needed to get to work.
Went out Sunday with my girlfriend and her dad in search of more reds and man did we find them. We ended up hooking 9 reds, ranging 20"-27" with some amazing fights. Also ended up with 1 nice trout and a small stingray. Caught everything Sunday on cut mullet on the bottom.

Not busting chops…just a suggestion. You should hide your background a little its very easy to identify your location. One of the spots is already pretty well known

Fishcrazy- I know what you mean just didn’t realize it until after I got home and looked, O well. I do know that the one spot is fished all the time, just never fished it, don’t really wanna be that guy who pulls up on you while your already posted on it so I decided to wait for my turn.

Good report WCKewok. I wouldn’t worry about hiding your spots so much. Plenty of places to fish and the “slot limit” protects most of the reds from being overfished.
good call on the edit. at least they’ll have to buy South Carolina Sportsman to get the GPS coords to it now!
there may be plenty of places to fish, but there is certainly no shortage of boats to occupy them around charleston… and it ain’t even memorial day yet.
the slot limit doesn’t affect how many times a red can be hooked and played out in hot water- site fidelity is a blessing and a curse for this fishery.

I forgot how touchy folks are about their secret fishing spots. Where I live in MD there is know such thing. If you know about a good spot so do a thousand other people. So nobody even bothers to try and hide their location they just come out and say it. Like I said I have know intention of raping the area just want some redfish pullage instead of striper pullage for a change
