Folly beach area ramp

Can anyone recommend a good ramp to launch my kayak near folly beach? I’m visiting in August and would like to fly fish for reds. Just need a good general area where I can kayak and maybe wade where the mud isn’t to crazy.

After some googling it Looks like the ramp is at a restaurant. Do they let people use the ramp?

someone from the kayak rental company there might ask you to take a couple bucks to the office on the pier. its a fair deal.

Thanks for the advice on Bowens. Wanted to launch there one day, but no one from the rental company was in sight to ask.

ya 3 bucks i think. everybody there is very friendly. Besides the restaruant that is also the location for charlston outdoor adventures. i am not affiliated with either, just know everybody there is very friendly. good location, good fishing around there.

I have always wanted to shoot straight across from there in the winter and see if reds are schooled up in the flats with all the oyster mounds. I know they are there at high tide.
