Anybody need to stock up on cut bait? There are thousands of dead menhaden on the beach at folly, still relatively fresh.
where are the locust?
this past fri. they were around the jetties in murrells inlet. about 2-4 inches. they were in schools so thick they would blot out your depthfinder. late that afternoon a couple of right whales moved into the same area, have no idea if they eat menhaden or not.
green grass and high tides forever

I hate to throw stones living in a glass house, but this story was in Thursday’s P&C, it had some pretty far-fetched theories of doom and gloom from the bloggers. I bet all of them are buying up all of the assault rifles and ammo too, again. Did you know that we are all dying, and the world is ending, sounds like a good time to enjoy fishing.

harbor pilots have told me for years that they see them all year long, same for shrimp in the turn-around basins.
i loves my guns… but ain’t buyin no more ammo till it starts raining blood or something a little more apocalyptic-like than dead menhaden.

are boat-tailed grackles minions of the antichrist?
Someone grab up a bunch and freeze them for me.
Fish meal is definitely going to be expensive next year due to the kill of 2011…

The positive side is at least it’s cold and not summer. I would imagine the stench would be a little worse in 100*. Shark and crabs should be getting fat.
Just a section of curve in the circle of life.
