Folly info??!!

New to the area and a 1st time boat owner. I have been putting in at the Folly launch and tooling around the area with little to no luck. Caught trout the first time out but have been skunked the last 3 adventures. I am desperately looking to find the reds but cant seem to get myself near them. I have the wife with me and that just adds to the things I have to do to be fishing “Put the bait on my hook for me, I cant cast that far, why arn’t we catching anything!!!” I have been putting her on a popin cork with about 3’ of leader on with live shrimp and mud minnows. I have been throwing mud minnows with a split shot working the bottom, and also grub tails on 1/8 jig heads. It just doesnt feel like i am in the right places at the right tide times.

Everyone on here seems to be pretty (**() friendly and helpful, that being said, anybody got some tips or info on spots in folly they want to share?

Happy New Years All, hope to get some ■■■■■■■■…IF you see the 16’ Scout out there having a tough time at the launch, feel free to bust on me a bit!!

This is a tough time of year to be new to fishing the area. The fish are out there but you have to keep moving to find them. Don’t give any spot more than 10 minutes or so unless you KNOW the fish are there. Throw things that you know can produce (mud minnows, z-mans, trout tricks, etc) and keep moving.
