Went to the pier this morning at 6. Caught 8 whiting and 4 trout. 4 sharks were caught as well. Funny story. I cut a whiting up for bait, cast out, set my rod down, (not in the rod holder)turned to talk to someone and my rod bent all the way down. I went to grab it and it went over. It pulled my rod into the water. My rod was swimming away.[:0]It resurfaced and a guy pulled it up with a net. What ever was on my line snapped the line. Crazy fun day. Everybody was catching fish. I will be out there again tomorrow morning.
Been there done that with a rod being yanked out of the boat. Surest way I know to get a bite is to set it down and turn your back to it. I got mine back as well. Now you have a funny story to tell.
