Hello, does anyone know if you can make it out to open ocean from the Folly River Boat ramp?
I tried getting out from Sol legare a couple years ago but was unable. I’m trying to find an alternative to wapoo cut, where we usually launch.
Any info appreciated
The answer is YES you can but if you couldn’t make it from Sol Legare you won’t make it from folly. Have you tried looking at this on a map and actually understanding the geographical location before asking this question? Not being rude but this is scary to me that you ask this question while attempting to captain a boat into the ocean. This is very simple map and navigational understanding…on land. Please make good use of many available resources and educate yourself for your own safety before attempting to risk your own life and others in the ocean. EVERY single inlet on the coast of South Carolina and every other state on the east coast IS navigable at some point in the day every day by a person with a plan and an intelligent mind. Every Single inlet is also treacherous every day of the year to a person of opposite intelligence and planning. Be the better person
