Folly river questions...

I’ve hardly ever fished the Folly River. Want to take some kids out that aren’t from the area and I’d love for them to reel in a few of anything. Any suggestions to make it a successful trip would be greatly appreciated. I’m thinking about soaking a couple of small carolina rigs on the bottom with shrimp in hopes of hooking anything and throwing a couple of larger hooks in the middle of the river with some cut mullet or menhaden in hopes of a shark.

If anyone would like to toss me a few ideas about what area/s to try, I’d be grateful. Or if you think I should take a different approach, let me know. I’d just like for the out of town kids to get a couple of fish in the short time we’ll be on the water. Casting/retrieving corks/artificials/anything seems like a bad idea with a bunch of kids on board.

East of the landing around the docks on incoming tide. At a higher tide put bait within 1 ft of the grass. West of the landing there are fairly deep holes near feeder creeks that will likely have sharks.

Shipwreck just upstream of Bowen’s on the right hand side. Fish upstream side on incoming tide very close to wreck.

Google earth is your friend. Watch out for the 30 sunken sailboats too.

Fish the bird key area.

Kids will not like the stench of Bird Key!

I really appreciate the ■■■■■■■■, guys. I’ll use your advice and hope for the best!

low tide that area looks like it would hold a bunch of flounder around there…
