Redsand06 and I decided to brave the incoming storms and hit the Folly river area. We were both pretty unsure where to go. I put a message in the fishing match-up forum and he messaged me last week and said he would go with me. After we started talking while we fished we found out that we actually live 50 yards from each other. Very funny. Ok so on to the report. We put in at Folly landing and headed over to the Stono to try a few of the creeks off of it. We saw all sorts of fish jumping and even saw a pair of dolphins fighting or something. It was crazy to watch. We didn’t have much luck and it looked like a storm was coming around 4 so we decided to try a creek back near the landing before we left. Ended up fishing near a dock up near Bowens Island and Redsand06 landed a nice flounder on a doa shrimp. Then minutes later I hooked up a pretty big speckled trout on the back side of the dock on a mud minnow under a popin cork. Then redsand06 hooked a trout for himself. To finish the day I caught a tiny redfish on another mud minnow. We were back to boat landing by 7. Started the day very slow and ended with a 30 minutes of excitement.

same here one little 11 in. But that was the first ever inshore species to my name so IM proud!

Thanks BB. Was unsure if that little red would complete the slam…I’m going with it though…so that would be the first offical (per Black Bart lol!)slam on my boat…HAHAHA Time for a celebration beer.

I think it counts. Didn’t get a pic of the ray or frogfish(figured out today it was an oysterfish) but I did get one of the NINJA she crab! She was ready to kill.
