Folly River

Would it be safe to lauch a 12 foot semi v hull in the Folly River and beat the banks for reds and trout?

I have seen many do it. You can run down any of the side creeks and be safe fishing. I also see the jons under the bridge fishing for sheeps. I wouldn’t venture out in the inlet but I have seen jon boats out there as well.

Most people (myself included) will slow down when they see a small boat. To play it on the safe side, I would shoot down a side creek and stay out of the main channel. If you go down by the docks and the “S” turn you should be safe there too, its pretty shallow and big boats dont venture down there.

Why do that the kayakers and paddle boarders don’t seem to mind running the middle of the channel …

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

Troof. I try and keep it pleasant for all parties involved.

You have got to check the new boat out. We can do some reef fishing if you are upto it. 22’ bay boat is awesome.
