Finally put a nice red in the boat, well my wife did! Started out around 7am with top water for me and MM under cork for her. One trout for me and one for her, headed to another spot for the end of the rising tide. Nothing doing on top water so I switch to carolina rig with quarter blue crab. At this time she alerts me to " something small is toying with my minnow" 2 seconds later drag is screaming and she starts freaking out! With some “calming” words from me 
, she gets her act together and we get this 27" in the boat! A bit later I hook up with a nice one (on 1/4 blue crab) but lose it to the oyster bed gods FEET from the boat! All in all it was a great day before I have to go out of town for a month.
