Went out last night in search of some trout under dock lights along the folly. Been messing around with the fly rod for a month or so and finally got my convidence up enough to bring it on the boat “just in case”. Glad I did, we had a few 1 dock wonders on shrimp under popping corks and decided to try our last spot and throw nothing but the fly while we we waited on the tide. Once the trout showed up I immediately got hooked up for my first fish on the fly but be got off. Wasn’t 5 mins later I had another one on and landed my first fish on the fly. 16" trout. I ended up catching 3 more trout, another 16" and two 12" and lost about another half dozen. Awesome time on the water and glad the fly rod is finally producing. Now I just need to find that first tailing red…
Awesome man, nice catch.
