Is it too cold to surf fish off folly beach on the east side now? What are the right tides and bait to fish their? Also were going out in the boat tommorow lookin for some reds for that charleston angler tournie!
Should we go in the stono on the different creek mouths or fish some shell banks? or should we just to docks in the folly? are the reds gonna out lookin fir skrimp fm or mud minnows after this cold snap?

went out today and the tide was wrong, we didnt get out till 3 so spent about 2 hours chasin bait, i tried to fish the stono creek mouths but dad wanted to fish our fav shell bank. i landed one lower slot red on a croaker under a poppin cork and shrimp on a small carolina rig.

Saturday am I went to my favorite surf spot on Folly.Using frozen shrimp on a single drop bottom rig I caught a 12" black drum and a 14" spottail.Good conditions with flat surf and hardly any rip.Sunday am brought the same conditions but no fish.
