Great short video about taking your kids fishing. I love seeing pictures in these threads of young men fishing with their sons and daughters. The future is in good hands.
My girls are all grown now, but I have hundreds of photographs and memories of all the time we spent on the water together. My own Dad passed very young when we were kids. My fondest memories of him are the fishing trips. I fish now mostly to think about him in the hope that someday I’ll see him again. The song in the video is about men taking their sons fishing; but it’s for daughters too.

Mr. Taylor, My father passed when I was a child as well. I wish we would have gone fishing and made memories the way that you and your Dad made, I appreciate what your sharing, thank you. I cant changed what happened or regain the lost time we missed together but there is something I can do, not let history repeat itself. I take my boy out as often as I can so he will have those memories with him and hopefully he will pass to his children and tell them the stories of when he and his Pop used to fish. Little Pete doesnt really get it now,but he will later in life. I know your Dad is looking down on you right now and cant wait to wet some bait with you again, I hear that every time you cast in heaven you catch a 40. Thanks for sharing Sir, loved your story.

Nice pic and nice fish ! You’re making up for it now with your son.
Time is the greatest gift you can give to your children.
