For Sale - SOLD

I have two (2) Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Classic 6500 C3 reels that I’m letting go …

I have acquired these over the last year and as everyone knows, they are great reels … but we have hardly ever used them since we use Okuma reels …

They both come with the original boxes, warranty cards, and lubricant …

They both have full spools of 20# Ande Premium Mono and have been upgraded with the AG Power Handles which sell for $20 apiece …

I’ll let the pair go together for $180.00 …

Here’s some pics …

Great price! If I didn’t have to buy a new prop, I’d be all over these.

If I needed some aluminum bent, we’d be working out a deal …

I’m just curious as to why you put the black power handle on the silver trimmed reel and the silver handle on the black trimmed reel… this would drive me crazy!!

can’t believe no one has scooped these up…

They are both silver … that’s just lighting angle … LOL … Trust me, if they made a black handle then it would be on the black trimmed reel …

My OCD is part of the reason why I’m selling these …

(1) I have a black and a grey, and

(2) they do not match any of the Okuma reels that I have …

trust me… I know…

I have 11 Ugly Stick and 3 Okuma rods that I use… on top of this, 2 of the Ugly Sticks are black and the rest white… I have been tempted to sell them all and start over!!

We were using Okuma Magda Pro trolling combos, but I’m switching them all out for Okuma Coldwaters on Okuma Deadeye Rods …

The Magdas are great for what they are - cheap starter combos - but the Coldwaters, while more expensive, tend to hold up to the elements quite a bit better … That said, I’ve only ever had one Magda reel go bad on me and that’s because it froze during the ride over to Clarks Hill in Jan 2015 … That’s not bad for a sub $50 combo …

ive been looking at the coldwaters too. what size are you going with?

We went with the 303D’s …

Originally we were going to go with the 202D’s because they are smaller (similar in size to the AG 6500’s) and hold more than enough line for Stripers (210yds for 20#) …

Then we realized that the 303D’s, although they hold double the line (therefore increasing the cost of line because these types of reels have to have a full spool in order to accurately calibrate the line counters) end up actually being $20-$30 cheaper than the 202D’s …

Since we don’t mind the slightly bigger reel we opted to pay less and get more - novel concept, I know … LOLOL
