For the elders. Have you seen a worse weather

Year than this one? If so, was the fishing the following season any better? Were the fish bigger because not as many were caught the following season. Just trying to find some good after all this crappy weather this year.

I’ve only been on the water a few times. I’ve had umpteen cancelled shrimping & fishing trips this year - mostly weather related. The drought years had the upside of few rained out trips.

I would think that fewer people on the water would mean better fishing next year. But, fishing pressure is just one of a thousand factors affecting future fishing.

I really take exception to the term ‘elder’ , you could have said ‘more experienced’…
Yeah, there have been many years like this and I don’t know that there is a demonstrable difference in fish catch or size the following year… kinda depends on the weather!
PS… years mean nothing, it’s all in the mileage; and there are may younger, who have more than I.

Yes. There might be snow on the roof, but there is still some fire in the chimney. I’ve seen many years like this. Some worse, some better. It ain’t that bad if you are wanting to fish. Get wet, catch fish. Fish have got to eat every day, no matter the weather.

Charter boat Capts and guides like to eat every day too, so most of the good ones can catch a fish almost any day and any weather. They often get wet.

Glad I don’t have to do it this weekend though. Wind looks rough!

And its going to be a pretty good football weekend, so it doesn’t matter too much.
