The wife and I were emptying out a file cabinet and found an old birth certificate. It is for a family member born in 1933. The certificate showed the mothers maiden name instead of married name. Is this something that was typically done back then? It just caught us off guard because hers from 63 showed her moms married name. We also found papers showing my wife is kin to the Magwood’s in Mt. Pleasant.
