Good lord if you cannot ask if people are fishing the weekend on a fishing discussion forum what can you talk about. If it makes you feel any better I have a friend who is a meteoroligist and he assures me that you cannot effect weather patterns by talking about them.

Most fisherman are superstitious, therefore that’s why there are always those responses. As for your meteorologist friend, they have a occupation where they can be incorrect 50% of the time and face no consequence. I wouldn’t trust what he/she has to say!

Was just trying to be funny. dont know any of them. I do know that you cannot adversely effect the weather by talking about it. I also know that it is a harmless and appropriate question in a forum called offshore discussion. We would have a lot more participation here if there were not a legion of people lying in wait for someone to make a a slight mistake or violate some baseless taboo. Probably just bored and looking to start a converstion, same reason i am posting this reply.

Good grief! Everything is ok! Of course people will go if it’s nice, but the question was more about what people thought about the forecast.
Right now it looks awesome by friday i expect that to change…
There is no evidence to support the belief in any of these superstitions that fishermen cling to, and to have that as motivation for any action is simply a display of ignorance. Except for the banana one. That is totally for real.
