Gut Wrench, are you planning on tomorrow. Looking at little system that popped up off of Georgia. Thinking it will be ok but want to know if others are going to try.

You think the seas will build, or is this system rain?

I’m in the same boat as you guys. Would like to get out but trailering from Lexington and watching the weather close. Any advice and opinions are welcome. Thanks as always.

Well they all say 2 1/2’ @ 9sec w/7-10kt winds. Translated: 4-5’ @ 4sec w/20kt wind sustained. I’m going anyway! Probably just won’t go past the ledge in my 19ft’er.

Its all my fault,i made the decision to take the week off and within hrs the forecast started changing, just like last yr and the yr before at this time…really sad…

We went, it wasn’t a nice ride in. I blame you people that talked about the weather all week.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

CRACKER LARRY my grandad had a old indian weather rock. one day it disappeared so he said it had to be a tornado LOL

Well after all the planning I was determined to go Sunday, and did. That was one ugly ocean! Went out to the Edisto 60 and ended up with nothing but a long, rough ride to show for all the effort. I’m just happy to have made it back safe. Saw a couple other boats heading out as we came in. Figured they wouldn’t stay out there long. Oh well, maybe next time.

Saturday was pretty nice running out and back in. The ocean picked up a little while on the ledge, but settled down enough for a 25 knot run back in. Too bad the dolphin seemed to be absent!!

Nope, doesn’t work like that. You pissed off Neptune last week, now he’s giving you payback and the rest of us are along for the ride. It’s your fault accept it.

I don't know, but if I were you I'd get a bigger boat. Get one of the old 44 ft'ers the USCG use to have. That'll handle those kind of seas. If it does roll at least it'll come back up.
