Fishing the Wando Monday, my partner had me 5-0 on trout. I remembered that Fortunate Son posted that he was retrieving his lure like a crank bait. I tried it and I caught up quickly and my partner stated fishing the same way. We ended up with 23 trout, and 5 redfish. All fish released, water temp 55-56 degrees. Fishing with trout eye jig and 3 1/2 inch Z man minnow, chartreuse and glow. Great day on the Wando, again, Thanks, Fortunate Son for the tip.

Glad to be of help, congrats on the fish. Kind of stumbled onto it by mistake but the fish seemed to like it. Hopefully still feel that way on Thursday when I get off work.

Slow and steady retrieve.

Hey Ronneal… just curious did y’all find the reds back in creeks or on main river? Where you getting them in shallow water or deep? I’ve been catching a lot of trout in the area but not having much luck locating reds. Any insight you wish to share is greatly appreciated.

The red fish were caught at Guerin Creek and next to Paradise fishing the first of the falling tide and couple of hours after rising tide in shallow water, not way up in creeks Same with trout
