Fished lower Ashley and James Island flats on the outgoing Wednesday afternoon. Air low 50s Water 48-51. Light wind. Tried 5 locations over 3 hours without a single bite using mud minnows under float for trout and reds and DOA shrimp under float for trout. I didn’t bother trying the Northbridge flats since I haven’t found schooling winter reds there for over 3 years. Luckily, there was a school of reds at the 6th location (low tide, 1-2 feet of water over shell bottom with some structure and rock along the shoreline). Caught 14 reds, 18 - 28 inches, in 45 minutes. Left them biting due to darkness.
Well done, days like that are the most satisfying.
Sman beat me to it! Well done, way to stay on the hunt, that’s what it’s all about! Not the hokie-pokie haha
