Found Dog in Abbapoola Creek

Sorry, not a fishing post… Found this little guy swimming in circles near the mouth of the Abbapoola at about 7:30 PM. He was about a mile from any docks and was in pretty bad shape. Got him in the boat and he’s doing fine. Tide was going out pretty strong so I assume he came from up the creek but might be from the Stono. He’s an old guy with a red collar and does not seem to see to well. He’s in good hands but I need to get him home.

Hopefully the owners put a chip in his neck and want him back. Run him by the vets and see if a chip can be read.

Not a bad looking little fellow and he does have a collar. Someone must care at least that much. Hoping for the best.

Yes, please take him to a shelter and let them scan him for a chip. Also, you should Post this on Craigslist under PETS and LOST & FOUND. Also, notify other local shelters! Hopefully someone is looking very hard to find part of their family.

you could make up some flyers and put them up around the neighbor hood

Great to hear. People are dog lovers on this site and are going to want to hear that there was a good ending to this story. So... maybe don't delete it too fast.

Send a PM or email to the “site administrator” and he can delete it. Eventually.

Glad the old dog made it home.

YEAH for finding the owner!

Welcome to the site and great post, Tedmerk! The way my fishing has been lately I probably wouldn’t have been able to catch him either! Glad you had a happy endingg and give yourself a well deserved pat on the back!
