I just had an interesting conversation with a petroleum dealer. He told me that Mariners Cay Marina on Folly always carries ethanol free regular grade gas

Most marinas do as boats are exempt from having to use ethanol gas. The problem is that people don’t always fill up at marinas and end up having ethanol related problems. Dolphin Cove, Rivers Edge also have non-e gas. Russels Exxon on Hwy 17 (by Costco) has non-e mid grade fuel. They get my business as I trailer my boat.

Check your Hess stations. The Wilco in Pawleys is ethanol free, some others may be as well.

I did not see any “E” stickers on the Sunoco pumps on Ben Sawyer, can anyone esle confirm?

Most of the Chas marinas carry non-E. It does cost more on the water but cheaper than the repair bill and less down time.

Exxon in Oakbrook advertizes ethanol free gas

I realize that we are better off running Ethanol-Free fuel. However isn’t E-10 the “wave” of the future and eventually the E-Free fuel will go away? Are we not better off to just run the E-10 and Star-Tron rather than mixing E-Free with E10? Yes, there is E-Free fuel available, but for how long?

I hop forever, because I am wrestling with that rcrap now, it definitely is no fun; Startron is NOT solving the problem, ie gummed up separator filters, fuel filters, and carbs, only after a few runs on the water. So better check ALL filters every three runs from now on…

I’ve made the switch back to Non- Ethanol and am very happy! Sure it cost more per gallon, I’d rather pay a little more up front than a lot more later.

The Citgo Station in Orangeburg on HWY 21 has a big sign outside Ethanol Free !!!

I passed a station in Greenville on Saturday that had huge signs saying Ethanol free gas.

Well in the upstate,Greenville, Yogi’s on main st in mauldin,Red Robin and the gas station right across the street from Red Robin on woodruff rd all have pure gas.if i find any more i will sure let you all know…

My Sunoco suggestion was WRONG! It has a really small sticker I missed…The Kangaroo on West Remount/N Chuck has changed, thankfully from CITGO, and I do not see any E-stickers on their pumps. Do thay ‘have’ to post the sticker, or could it have ‘E’ and not be posted??

Run as much of the e-gas out that you can and fill with non-e gas. If you plan on having the boat sit for a while, do not mix, but if you go out every weekend, you will be fine.

Just found out that the Exxon station on Rivers Ave (between Remount Rd and Burger King) has mid grade ethonol free gas for those that live in North Chuck.

If you take ten gallons of E10 fueland mix it with ten gallons of non- ethanol gas, you will have twenty gallons of E5 fuel. The math works with any amount and any percentage.
