Just purchased me an used boat so that i can get around in charleston to do a little saltwater fishing. As you guys notice i posted a post trying to figure out what size boat i should get and finally decided on a 16ft Ebbtide with an 60hp johnson on it.It aint no new boat but its reliabe and spacey.Motor just been rebuilt and a couple more new parts. So hopefully i will be down soon to finally get back on the saltwater and have fun.
Now im in progress of trying to find me a good fishfinder, trolling motor and a livewell to install on it.Found a livewell in craigslist that would fit it perfectly. So hopefully all work out right. Will post pics of my new toy soon.Maybe one day i can afford a big nice boat like some of you guys.Im still young so i have time to invest. Thanks everyone with your help…
my girlfriend is both spacey and reliable at times…
very nice- i know you must be itching to get down here now! you plannin on shrimpin in style this fall?
maybe one day i’ll be able to afford a big boat too, but it doesn’t necessarily help you catch more inshore fish! sometimes smaller is better… i’ve had plenty of days when i caught more feet of fish than my boat is long.
catch em up, GF!
Thanks barbawang…Thats true about the boat size.I been out fishing on my jon boat on lake greenwood while a crappie tournament was going on and caught bigger crappie than the guys in the tournament driving all them expensive boats they were on.After there weigh in a few of the guys saw me loading my boat came up to me saying thats a shame i saw you landing them crappies and you out fished us in a jon boat so of course i had to laugh.so size dont matter sometimes, lol…Yes im already planning a trip bringing some of my friends down that wana get into fishing. So that should be fun.Of course shrimping, yessss,im sooo ready to finally get in the spots where i been wanting to get to and shrimp.Just gota build me an movable platform now.
good job Torrey…yea, this now opens up a whole new shrimpin world in the Fall…

I was glad to get your texts this week Torrey, and see your new rig. I have a foot controlled trolling motor that might work for you if you still need one? No $s, just glad to see you getting back on the water in a nice rig!! Give me a call if you need the motor.
P.S. I also have a couple of various fish/depth finders that probably need power cables and such, but you’re welcome to them if you need 'em. again no $s!!
