Found nice rod and reel.

Went fishing in wando. Caught a nice rod and reel in cast net near Horlbeck creek. Looks to have been in water a couple of weeks. Send me a message if it’s yours. Also caught a few nice reds at low tide near docks on mud minnows and finger mullet

How far up the Wando, or were you in a creek?

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”> Now THAT is funny.

Oh, and good looking out, mitchewi.

I left one down in the marsh behind the Edisto Marina. I think my $8 lure was worth more than the rod and reel! Trying to run the trolling motor, untangle a wind on the tip of the rod, and kersplash. tide was moving pretty quick.

I feel better now too.

owned by trailer bearings…

always refreshing to see there are still honest folks around…and esp ones who know how we fishermen(women) love our tackle and hate to lose it. thanks mitchewi…this made me smile

A couple weeks ago I found a minnow bucket just floating at the jetties, near the rocks, and it was full of bait. Lucky me, Lucky me.

Lol

Loomis rod, by any chance? Ive got a friend who lost one a week ago off the poling platform in that area.

I think Mrs. Penny lost a bucket out there about 2 weeks ago. There is a pic of it somewhere on this site,I know she would like it back cause her Dad gave it to her if it's the same one.

Slowpoke, sounds like you are about to score some Shrimp dip?Penny you could have used a Gotcha plug and snaged that!

Just aggravating Penny a little.

I lost a nice shimano rod in grice cove march before last. I also donated a less than 24 hrs old cajun anchor about a month ago behind icw ben sawyer area. While i’m thinking about it if anybody has found a brand new pair of pliers around the southern end of Juba island up the wando I would love to have those back too! Funny how dragging a treble hook never snags what you want but I can pull up all kinds of junk I don’t want with a single circle hook!

Ahhhhhh…I am sad…not that you were pickin on me,…that’s ok…but that you didn’t have the minnow bucket…not only special to me…but those old ones are tough…no rip away plastic handle for when you forget to pull it in and ake off…and bigger than the new ones…

A few months back I was fishing up the Wando with some friends and had just baited a rod, brand new Shimano Sahara/brand new Shimano rod (about a $200 combo), and had to set the rod down in the boat to move another before putting it in the rod holder. Sure enough…zip splash. I said a few unkind words and reminded the others why I ALWAYS say to use the rod holders. About 20 minutes later, after dragging a weighted treble hook all over, I pulled up the stern rod to check in the mullet that had been acting so nervous. Low and behold, wrapped around that line was new PowerPro! I followed the end closest to me and pulled up my rod and reel. :-)! Unwrapped it and reeled in a nice 27" redfish, still hooked. Dock owner came over and handed me his waterhose so I could rinse off the reel. Dropped it off at Haddrells after pulling out and got it serviced. Still working like a champ!

Hey Penn, check this one out. I know it wont have the sentimental value, but hopefully it would keep the memories alive... http://www.ebay.com/itm/PLANO-Deluxe-FISHING-Trolling-Bait-MINNOW-Bucket-WORLDWIDE-SHIPPING-/261085998953?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc9f02f69

Oh, it will keep the bait alive too.
