Can’t you just call DNR and get them to notify the owner? I wouldn’t give it away without trying that.

Pungo 120I was backing up a few years ago and had a pvc pole run up the back of the boat and almost stab me in the face. Called DNR with the numbers and gave my phone # and had a call the next day from the owner. Last time I stood at the transom while backing up with a tiller handle.
