Franklin NC

Anyone fish here in the fall? Looking for a general direction to head and what I’ll find during mid October.

Thanks in advance.

Tuckasegee River in the Dillsboro / Sylva area. Not far from Franklin. Lot of info online.

Tucks a good roadside spot. Follow the people already fishing, you know like you do here. I’ve got a ton of stuff if you need to borrow any. No 2x waders though.
Check this place out for a family style meal like you have never experienced.

Don’t be afraid to ask for another round of everything and then ask for to go boxes.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

This is my neck of the woods. Are you planning to wade or do you have access to a boat?

Thanks Fritz. I might borrow a reelly expensive flyrod if you have that. I have my own waders; sharing a man’s waders would be a little “familiar” anyways.

Wading. I can get a boat if needed, but we were planning on do the wading, searching, wading thing.

Our place is about five minutes from the Little Tennessee River. Is that any good?

Little Tennessee is a good smallmouth river. I only fish for them in the summer, so not sure what the pattern will be like in October.

The Cherokee trophy section is fun…

Call Fontana Guides. They are experts and will be able to point you in the right direction.
