This kayak is a Wilderness 140. It’s a good boat but has a few major issues that could be fixed by someone a little craftier than I. Specifically, there is a small crack in the top kayak between the drain hole and seat. Also, the boat was under warrantee, and I had it replaced. To do this I was require to cut out the serial number so, there is another hole (1 inch x 5 inch) in the back top rear portion of the boat.
I’ve finally decided that I will never do anything with it. So, if you want it come get it. I live in Summerville, and my number is 843.875.7528. Only one stipulation, if you take it please don’t bring it back.
Are you serious?!?! Ill definately take it, even if it sits in my yard and I never do anything with it, I mean its free right. Ill give youa call right now.

Thanks for the offer, Im think some thick plastic (like cut from my big green City of Chucktown trashcan) and then seal it with some 5200 or Epoxy. Ive done some surfboard repair, so Im kinda takin the same approach. I’ll hit you up if I get stuck though.

you can do the 5200 route, but you’ll get better results with a heat gun and some thin strips cut from your “city of” source.
Epoxy won’t stick and 5200 doesn’t stick very well. You could pop rivet and caulk a patch in place that would last pretty well if you don’t want to plastic weld.
Is the boat still available? I’m interested in it…

So much water, So little time
I have seen the pop rivet and caulk/silicon/etc fix done with a piece of plastic from a trash can. It didn’t look good, but it did the job.
