I have about 25lbs of weights I took off cast nets over the years, all are cased in plastic coating. I didnt want all that lead in a landfill if I could avoid it. Im in N Charleston.may even be able to deliver cause I drive all over with my job. None of the weights are mangled in any way. You could use them as slip weights. A couple hundred of them.

All the ones I’ve seen encased in plastic are steel. You can tell with a magnet or if they have rust stains on the plastic around where the holes. Either way they’re still good to add to another net,etc.
I’d rather fish than eat.
