Freediving for Groupas

Had a florida freedive buddy in town and 2 of the regular crew and took another case of the mondays on a beautiful ocean.
Starting checking some spots in 70 ft and a few fish were missed at the beginning but once everyone got warmed up we were good. Good vis in 70 ft and plenty of gags around. Moved out to 80 ft on some ledges and not much happening there but AJs and dolphins. Moved out to a spot in 90 ft and got a few nice fish there as well. Did 2 tank dives in 100ft that were average with worse vis than in 70 ft. Caught 10 triggers and limit of seabass in 90 ft and then Came back into 65ft for some more freediving as sun was starting to go down. Pretty good spot with lots of fish but light conditions made it hard by that point.

Only got this one photo on my camera from first 70 ft dive.

Ended with several nice gags
6 scamps
10 triggers
limit seabass

Very nice.

Nice haul Charles, how come u never put us on those#s when we carry u? Was up with dat

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

Ed, when i get invited on a trip i assume the captain has a plan and part of accepting the invite is me trusting and liking the people im going with and going with their plan. Every single trip on my boat is different. I have a different plan every time and it usually involves freediving for at least half the day. We are always checking and trying to find new spots…sometimes the fish are there and sometimes they aren’t.

Just busting your balls Charles !

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

He’s holding out Ed! Get on him! He always brings numbers with big fish on them.

haha- for the record…Captain Skinneej hands down has the best numbers i ever dove on any trip- good numbers and the right info for those numbers take sooooo much time on the water- good spots are important to keep good and are hard to come by…but lots of public spots are very good as well
