It SOUNDS great…got to be some strings though…like renting a jet ski.?? you break it …you fix it,?
I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I’m going fishing…!!

I just re-read… I did not know we had one down in this area. I thought N.Myrtle was it.??

They have 3-4 boats each at the Reserve and Crazy Sister… I guess if someone is going to use a boat every week or so and didn’t want the aggravations of owning… A $3000-4000 initial cost plus monthly membership fees it could work, but if it only gets used 3-4 tim4s a season, I think giving the money to Shannon for an occasional cruise would work out a little better

Actually, just give the money to Doc, sort of like a season pass!
The idea of a boat club has some flaws IMO, how are you going to have enough boats when the weather is good and the bite hot? I would suspect you might be sitting at the dock with no boat available often.
Don’t chase reports, go out and make them!
They have one in little river and one in murrells inlet and another on the waccamaw at the heritage Plantation you can go on line and learn a lot about it and see the fleet and all that. I have a friend that does it. He is a novice to boating and fishing, he just likes to ride and entertain friends and all that. It is funny to see him at first all cought up in the operation of the boat and then learning different boats and all sizes of boats including twin engine rigs and even a couple of really large boats that require additional traing and all. but now that he has all that behind him, he has taken to fishing and has seen a different purpose to being on the water and how to stay busy while on the water. his group are not drinking partiers so I bet one day he will outgrow the time share boat thing. but in the meanwhile he is getting to operate a large selection of boats and he is finding out what he likes and doesn’t like. He found he hates a cuddy cabin, way too hard to beach and get in and out of. just funny watching him go through the learning curve… so far he has not been turned down on a reservation. there seems to always be a boat somewhere to get on and don’t forget he can pull into miami today and get right on a boat without the expense and hassle of towing. it has some advantages if it suits your style. it does not suit me though. I want complete indipendence and my own setup the way i want it… but different strokes…
