freedom hawk kayaks

I know this is beating a dead horse but if there is anyone out there that uses a freedom hawk i would appreciate any input you could give me I am a 62 year old Vietnam vet and all of my fishing will be on the tidal creeks in the Beaufort area and some fresh water lakes thanks any thoughts would be appreciated.

Saw someone out in a bright yellow freedom hawk today @ Copahee sound, he seemed to like his, perhaps he’ll post up. He demonstrated the open/close mechanics and it seemed pretty smooth and easy…

I did a review on them a while back and sell them in The Charleston Angler… Not a bad kayak, perfect for sight fishing, if you are over 200lbs you can still stand up and fish in it, I am over 240 and can still do it but smaller people will find this kayak a lot more stable. Seat sucksverymuchbad… make sure you bring a butt cushion if you pan on sitting down for any length of time. It does not have an open hull like the other yaks so mounting scotty rod holders in the usual fashion is out, ya have to be more creative on how to mount stuff to it but I like a bungee across the leaning bar, I can dop a rod or the paddle or push pole in towards the back and still have it reachable when standing or sitting… Over all they are good kayaks and awesome of sight fishing in the grass…
