Had the opportunity to fish with Billy on the Freeman 33. As a cat owner myself, all I can say is wow!!!. This boat gives all of the things traditional cats are lacking. It is a true fishing machine that handles on like a sports car on water. Yesterdays sea conditions averaged from a 3.5 - 4.0 ft. wave height on a 4 sec interval and SW winds 14-17 steady with gust to 20knts.
A couple of the guys werent sure about fishing when were walking down the dock, but after making the two hour ride from hilton head I wanted to fish to see how the boat handled. The power is shocking coming out of the hole, within no time we were running forty five out of the channel. Cleared the rocks and cruised in a beam sea running about 35 - 42 and never pounded. Ended up forty miles offshore sitting on the hook. Boat is extremely stable in stacked up sea conditions. No hard rolling or pitching. The boat also accamodated five guys bottom fishing. The cockpit is 100 percent usable from bow to stern.
We ended up with box of scamps, gags, silver snapper, bliners, and sea bass. Billy ended the trip with a 18lb scamp, which I fed a few times as I was heckled. Turned around to get another bait and Billy snuck in and got him hooked up before I could get a bait down.
Ride home was just as comfortable as the ride out while running into a 4ft quartering head sea. Averaged about 35-38 on the way home enjoying a cold drink. (drink should be plural=drinks)
The freemen is an incredibly comfortable and fishable boat with an amazing amount of power with the yamaha 350’s. Two of the guys fishined are contender owners and it did not take long to convert them. On the final ride in the channel, we came up on a hydrasport with trips. As he saw us running in he quickly got up on plain and started running. Running 56 we walked away from him.
If anyone is interested in these boat contact Billy. He is stand up guy with an incredible product. I had never met or spoken to Billy prior to yesterday. He was eager to gracious to show us what the boat ca
We had just turned around at the jetties and cancelled the afternoon nearshore reef trip after looking at an angry ocean only sportys should be fishing in and all I saw was a blue flash as I hammered the throttles on my trip 300s and saw nothing but propwash while wishing I could go that fast…

Tell me about it. Im going to have to get a new boat after yesterday. The 25knt cruise on my sea cat just isnt going to cut it. Time for a powerball ticket and some good luck. Then I will put one on order.

Pony up weed! I would be more than happy to fish with you and big joe on one of those!
Is there a website to check out this ride? I have been trying to get on a charter trip with a Captain in Venice just to check this boat out but can’t get the time to go there.

you better be careful Mike! Once you go for a ride it wil be hard to go back to your Glacier Bay. It would make an incredible charter boat. Tons of space and fishability.
Uh oh
I watched that video and the only thing I saw was the water from between the hulls splashing on the engines pretty good. Not a horrible thing, maybe a platform between them with a ladder would prevent it? I’m gonna check out their site right now. Thanks FC.
