Freeman ran Aground Sullivan's Island

Anyone know the details of what happened?

no clue doesn’t look like it ran aground very hard… I’m thinking anchored up and tide ran out on them…

Technically, this is an “Inshore Discussion”…

What if he was coming from offshore? Offshore/inshore.

I’ll await a ruling from The Pea

Didn’t run aground! He ran out of water and the ground came to him!

I woke up, after anchoring on the port side of the bridge at Fripp Island, about 6 feet from the water with about 20 seagulls looking at me. My first visit to the Atlantic Ocean in 1983. Made 6HI that afternoon. Fell in love with this area after being on the gulf. Tides are 2-3 feet there. I fished for a couple of hours off the bank.

For what it’s worth the boat was back in its slip at tolers by Sunday. Those guys fish way more than most of the none sporty crowd and almost never post reports. Maybe a little humble pie but I’m sure they killed WAY more fish than me or anyone I know this year. Even with a couple days lounging beachside!

That boat runs a charter business on the Freeman. Going in/out of the harbor near tolers should warrant a strong knowledge of that area. Accidents happen every day to good people but it is surprising to see and attempt to understand how that happened. It sure is one way to draw a crowd to the Freeman. Lol

I seen their charter ads recently offering tubing and skiing on facebook. I was under the impression that you cannot insure a charter business for these activities. Also noticed ad pictures with more than 6 people onboard what is obviously an uninspected vessel. I kinda figured those may pics of non-paying trips, but either way, seems odd.

Maybe one of the resident boat insurance experts can chime in?

Does killing fish make someone a better fisherman than someone who fishes 250 plus days a year and kills very few fish?

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

If there was, this would belong there. Happened just a few minutes ago over by the airport.

What is the name of the “captain” of the freeman that runs charters?

I’ve got it narrowed down to:
<> “Terry Firma”
<> “Parker Shallow”
<> “Justin Shallows”
<> “Freeman Sanders”
<> “Skipper Crossrocks”
<> “Seymore Dunes”
<> “Ben Waitin”
<> “Anita Hightide”
<> “Heywood Jahelpme”
<> “Will U. Pushmore”
<> Wife’s name was “Sandy Cruise”…

You spent a lot of time on that dumbass answer. Well done!
