i have a 2007 22 ft pathfinder XL tournament. was considering putting in a freshwater washdown (small tank of 10 gal or so). Would be good for kids and to squirt salt off reels etc.
Anyone have experience in 1) where to get a water bladder 2) placement of a water bladder etc? Definitely don’t want one of the 50 gal bladders I see online. Looking for something low profile that can be stored possibly in the bottom of the release well that I don’t usually use (the boat has a large release well and a large livewell in the rear.
Definitely a good call for washing the rods down. Would love a pump and water reservoir so I can flush motor too when leaving overnight at certain docks with no water. And of course, the wife wants the ability to rinse salt off if we are going from beach to reds or something. There is a cheap portable water pump (battery operated) for 30 bucks that will suck water out of any thing and pump up a hose (which has shower head). I was thinking I could fill the release well with freshwater and stick that pump down inside to create a basic freshwater shower. Not as cool as a built in bladder.
Wonder if anyone sells a plastic box with a large mouth opening where the box would lie flat. I see a ton that store upright but would be too tall for my release well.
I have a friend that just added a fresh water wash down to his Mako CC. He picked up the tank from a Camper / RV shop… May be check that out… He set it up using the same pump for the salt water wash down, using a “Y” valve on the intake side.
