caught a small fish on lake moultrie sunday on a live worm. it looked like a big mud minnow, with less color. probably about 5-6" long. anybody ever caught something like this? didn’t have my camera with me.
It is a recent invader called a Seminole Killifish (Fundulus seminolis). They are related to mud minnows and like them, are faily hardy and make good bait…probably were a bait bucket release in Taw Caw Creek near John C. Land boat landing where they were first collected 4 years ago. More info than you wanted…sorry.
did a search, that’s exactly what it was. thanks.
Interesting. We caught one of these a few weeks ago and were unsure what it was… Now we know!!
