Anyone headed out this evening? Think seahunt0012 and i are gonna give some artificials a try…brushed the dust off the avet last might. Havent really found a striper technique that its good for yet, maybe that will change this evening after buying heavier jigs.

The smallest size Avet looks like it would be great for striper fishing both jigging and down lines. I would love to have a reel with a leaver drag on it, I hate messing with the star drag.
Used to troll U rigs with TLD’s and loved them
I used to have a reg sx but it is now at the bottom of the ocean in 120’ of water. Got it replaced with the raptor sx and it almost has too much drag for striper even on the lower presets.
I love lever drags. I also have a TLD 5 thats gonna put to some use soon.

Ditto…I don’t troll umbrellas, but I do use my TLD15’s when trolling with downriggers

Fished for a couple hrs. Never found a huge concentration of fish. Marked a couple here and there. Second drop of the jig produced a real nice 7-8# fish. Nothing else for a lil while then seth picked up a nice 23" fish. Over all nice relaxing evening with a couple tight lines…pic doesnt show it but the fish had some girth to it.
