Not too bad of a day. 3 large fish in the morning. Got a late start after the morning bite. In the pm caught 7 large fish which all barley fit in the cooler with minimum anount of ice. I was suprised at the small amount of fishermen on the lake for a fri night. Oh-well, maybe they went to the football games.
Nice day Magnawake!! I just recently moved here (Lex) from Wilmington, NC and have been itching to learn a little about Lake Murray and the Striper fishery. I got a buddy in Charleston who wants to drag his boat up here and give it a shot sometime soon. Will post a report if and when this trip materializes. thanks for the report!

My cousin lives in Wilmington. Boy, that place is bustin loose. Property values are out of control. It seems all the Northerns are stopping there instead of Fla… For the last few years I have gone to work at the Brunswick Power station in Feb-March. I stayed in Southport and Oak Island. Anyway, welcome to Lexington. Give me a shout and you can go with me sometimes.
Thanks Magna. Yeah, we bought a house in Wilmington four years ago and turned almost 125% profit on it. Stayed on the market for two days before we had a contract written.
Moved here to work at Baptist hospital…hated to leave the Wilmington area!!! Spoiled on great fishing outside my door. Anyway, thanks for the invite and I’ll send you an email and let you know.
