Friday was a grind. No clean water to be found anywhere water 85 degrees. I tried main channel points close to deep water. Trout either were up shallow longer than usual or only would eat live shrimp…maybe both. Last part of falling the water cleaned up enough they would hit a jerk bait.
Sat fished Goose Creek Resivoir at the wrong time. (Water 90/93!) GCR appears to be a early or late bite with hot water. Nothing but the wiser to show for this trip. Next time I have to fish mid day it will be the Cooper River.
Sunday took my son out not expecting much action. Loaded up on mullet and shrimp. Caught 1x 14.5in flounder! I swear that fish smirked until I threw him back. My son caught a crab hanging on a dock with a dip net. We watched a pod of dolphins for a while and then headed home.
I begged to fish my favorite trout hole, son agreed. Threw live shrimp under a cork. My son realed in 3 puppy drums. He was really happy with this trip.
