Put in at the dam and headed up to mid lake. Found some herring all over the top of the water. We stopped there and picked up a short and a 26" pretty quick and then it was dead. By 8:00 we only had the 2 fish and then things picked up. We stayed in the same area and started picking up fish. Fished till about 11:30 and wound up with 9 keepers and at least that many shorts.
All fish were caught pulling FLs and PBs in 15-25 FOW. Talked to a couple of others who did well first thing in the am, but for us in was a later bite.

Was wondering how you ended up tim. We tried to contact you via channel 68 but your radio seemed like it had a lot of static. we went out today and got one. There were literally dozens and dozens near the large tower, but we could not get them to bite after 9am.

Yea…I tried to call you a couple of times to see if you wanted to take a ride up where we were. I heard someone else call me on there too and they couldn’t hear me reply either. Guess I need to check my antena connection. I thought I had your number in my phone from last year, but I killed my phone since then before I leaned to keep the numbers backed up to recover.
Anyway, good to hear you at least got the skunk out of the boat.
