Friday and Sat.

Havent’ done a report in a while so here goes…
Friday: Breezy and choppy, turning rougher. 5 dolphins, a king, and a snaggle tooth. No billfish sighted. Slow going. Harbor was downright nasty. Fished from the 150s to the 300.

Saturday:
4’ at 4 sec. Left a little later so we could see the ocean. Lovely. Headed north. Lines in at 145’ of water on a large weed patch. slingers. Had a nice wahoo sky on the short rigger. must have gotten up about 10 or 12’. came down without the bait, but managed to sling it over the long rigger. pounded the ledge. 5 gaffers, 4 slingers, 6 kings, 2 cudas, a donkey and just when we thought we had the fantasy slam, our bonito turned into a yellowfin at the boat. No billfish seen again. Started hitting squall lines 20 nm from the rocks…another great ride in. Scattered weed in the afternoon made drinking a challenge. Nothing big to report…the olympian must have not gotten rid of his banana residue.

Thanks for the report. Any size to the yellowfin? How deep were you?

Freshwater is for drinking.

on the reef.

No size. We thought it was a blackfin until we had it on deck. Couldn’t find any others with it. Couldn’t pull anything long due to the weed.

the olympian:stuck_out_tongue:. Did our Olympian down a case of beer or was it too rough?

clearly you’ve never fished with the olympian. He never keeps a beer long enough for it to spill. His consumption is unaffected by sea condition. He did manage to hold it under a case, but that was due to his fear that he would return to shore and find his wife in labor.
