Friday Apr 17 report

Took my neighbor fishing and was able to put him on a nice one. 32" long, 16lbs 12oz weighed on my brand new digital scale. The pictures don’t do it justice. Solid fish. We released it so it can get bigger and it swam off in good shape. I tried to post the video on here but apparently it’s too large of a file even though I trimmed it down…maybe I’ll figure that out later.

Tournament day wasn’t as good at all so I must have used up all my luck! Caught a lot more fish than the prior day, but we had only one keeper and the nice one that we really needed bit mid-day but broke a leader. Kind of a kick in the gut to have a day like that after having some really consistent good trips lately, but that’s the way it goes and why it’s called fishing.

Congrats to Donnie and Team Wildman for a strong win! Those guys are on a roll!

Instead of trying to add the video to your post, upload it to youtube. Then just copy and paste the link to it in your post on here and it should work fine.

Nice fish! Where did you find the rod holder in the second picture?

Great fish. We had it tough on Sat as well we caught fish and plenty of them just could not get that big bite.

2nd picture - rod holder - found that at lake world I believe. He (Richard) can get them for you if he doesn’t have them on hand. He usually has a lot of drift master stuff on hand.
I may have ordered them online but really don’t remember. It’s been a while.

They’re made by driftmaster.
