Friday Charter

Took Todd Carroll and his guests from Utah out to the ledge on Friday. Dropped lines at 7:00 in 140 feet and trolled out to deeper water. First bite was an hour later, a big fat barracuda, it was the man’s first offshore fish and he was excited. Picked up a couple kings, another cuda and a 3 wahoo cut offs then the bite quit. Eased out to 350 ft, came back in and worked our way north, about an hour after lunch, found some dolphin and then picked up a real nice wahoo. When my mate gaffed the wahoo, the mono cut off. Great weather, good seas and a great bunch of guys on the charter. Sorry, no pics

Is there a way to differentiate a wahoo cut off vs. a barracuda or a king? I am seriously asking because I would like to learn. You caught several kings and cudas but the cutoffs were hoo’s?

Saw two of the wahoo come out of the water as they bit, the other one was a couple seconds later so I assumed it was a wahoo too. Also had a short strike on planer at the same time
